DupTabOff terms and conditions

These terms are an agreement between you and Purple Wonton ("Purple Wonton", "we", "us"), the trading name of an individual seller based in Bengaluru, India, and the maker of the DupTabOff browser extension ("DupTabOff"). Purple Wonton is a trading name, not a registered company. The seller's legal name and contact details are shown on DupTabOff's Chrome Web Store listing. By installing or using DupTabOff, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please uninstall it.
1. What you may do
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use DupTabOff in your web browsers for personal or work use, as long as you follow these terms. DupTabOff stays our property; this licence doesn't transfer ownership.
You may not:
- copy, sell, rent or redistribute DupTabOff, or publish a modified version of it
- remove or get around the free version's limits or the Pro license check
- share, publish or resell Pro license keys
- use DupTabOff in a way that breaks the law or the terms of the Chrome Web Store
2. Free version, free trial and Pro
- Free version. DupTabOff is free to install and use, with the limits described in the extension (for example, checking only the current window for duplicate tabs, and closing up to 10 duplicates per click after your first 200).
- Free trial. You can try Pro free for 7 days, once per browser. Nothing is charged and nothing needs cancelling. When the trial ends, DupTabOff returns to the free version and your data stays where it is.
- Pro. Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. The price is shown in the extension and at checkout, and may differ by country. Purchases are processed by Gumroad, which acts as the seller of record; Gumroad's terms also apply to your payment.
- License keys. Your Pro license key is for you. One key may be activated on up to 5 browsers. DupTabOff checks keys with Gumroad when you activate them and about once a week after that. If a purchase is refunded or charged back, Pro switches off on the next check.
3. Refunds
If Pro doesn't work for you, email us at support@purplewonton.com within 14 days of buying and we'll refund you. After 14 days, refunds are at our discretion. Nothing in these terms limits any refund rights you have under the consumer law of your country.
4. Your data
DupTabOff works inside your browser. Our privacy policy explains what it reads, stores and sends; in short, your tabs and sessions are never sent to us. You're responsible for your own backups: if you uninstall DupTabOff or clear your browser's data, your saved sessions and backups inside the browser are deleted, unless you've downloaded a backup file.
5. Closing tabs
DupTabOff closes, sleeps, moves and reopens browser tabs when you ask it to, or automatically when you switch on features such as auto-close. Closing a tab can lose unsaved work on that page, such as a half-written form. Please save your work before removing tabs. Chrome's own "reopen closed tab" (Ctrl+Shift+T) and, with Pro, DupTabOff's Undo, can help you get tabs back, but we can't promise every page will return exactly as it was.
6. Updates and changes
We may update DupTabOff to fix problems, add or change features, or keep it working with new versions of Chrome. We'll try to keep features you paid for working for as long as we offer DupTabOff. If we ever stop offering it, Pro features already working in your browser will keep working there for as long as your browser supports the extension.
We may change these terms. If a change matters, we'll mention it in the extension's "What's new" notes. If you keep using DupTabOff after a change, the new terms apply.
7. No warranty
DupTabOff is provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard to make it reliable, but we don't promise it will always be error-free, uninterrupted or suitable for every purpose. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
8. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, Purple Wonton isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost data, work or profits, arising from your use of DupTabOff. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Pro in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 5 if you haven't paid anything. Some countries don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
9. Ending this agreement
You can stop using DupTabOff at any time by uninstalling it. We may end your licence if you seriously break these terms, for example by sharing or reselling license keys.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, unless the consumer law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
